HUNTING
Private, County and Municipal Lands
80% of New Hampshire’s forestland is privately owned. Most private lands — especially larger tracts — remain open to hunters, unless posted
against hunting. New Hampshire Fish and Game recommends that each hunter contact landowners and seek permission to hunt. Even posted
land can be accessed by contacting the owner prior to hunting. Please respect all landowners wishing to keep their lands posted.

DIRECTIONS
From Route 12: Turn onto South Street at the flashing light. Turn left onto Main Street and follow a short distance, then make a right onto High Street.
Follow High Street and take a right on North Road, followed by a left on Reservoir Road at the top of the hill. Follow Reservoir Road for about half a mile.

Parking is limited and can be found along the edge of Reservoir Road near the entrance.

ABOUT RESERVOIR TOWN FOREST
From Reservoir Town Forest Report by town forester Alex Barrett, 2019.

Partially bounded by old stone walls, the Reservoir Town Forest is a beautiful, 59-acre parcel that surrounds the town reservoir and dam. Featuring
well-worn walking paths and a pond, it is a popular place to ride horses, picnic, and snowmobile. Stands of high-quality sugar maple, as well as ash,
pine, hemlock, and a few very large oak trees can be found throughout. Downed trees make a valuable habitat for wildlife, including deer.
The Reservoir Town Forest trails leave town property at points; please respect these private parcels.
